Make 2018 a success! – 12 week blog series | Introduction

I don’t want to scare you but did you know that there are only 12 Mondays left until Christmas? 12 weeks left to work on your business and see the plans and dreams you had for your organisation 10 months ago come to fruition.

How has 2017 been for you? Has it been a great year or a really challenging one? Have you stuck to your strategy and goals or have they fallen by the wayside? When you get to December and look back at the year, will you feel that 2017 has been a success?

Twice so far I’ve mentioned plans or strategy. And so my question to you is this: at the start of this year, did you have a plan, a strategy, a clearly defined set of aims and objectives that you can use to frame all your business activity and measure the success of those activities?

If you did – well done! Only a small fraction of small business owners really have a clear and detailed strategy.  Most of the time, most of us just wing it with a general sense of the direction we’d like to be heading in. And the scary thing is that, by the time 2018 comes around it will be too late to get that plan in place for where you want to take the organisation.

So, over the next 12 weeks we’re going to be creating a series of blogs and resources that will encourage you to get the plan in place before you break for Christmas. We’ll be going through key topics and taking you through a process to get your strategy down from out of your head and onto paper.

So we’ll be looking the vision you have for your organisation, what success looks like and how you can measure it. We’ll be looking at your brand and marketing plan and exploring how to write a the first place. We’ll also be addressing some of the challenges you might face and how to rise up and face the head on. Finally, we’ll be celebrating your successes and looking forward to 2018.

We hope you’re up for this adventure, so please do keep a lookout for our weekly emails and blog posts so you don’t miss out. See you on the journey.
